After realising that akismet had stopped over 6000 spams since i installed the plugin i decided to remove the comment function all together. The few real comments that i have had over the years just ain't worth the hassle of removing all the spam, so until someone (me?!) can come up with a spam proof commenting system ill just keep them closed.
