Here in Sweden they have a yearly book sale around this time of the year, and this year i picked up Beginning Visual C#, an "get started with C#" kinda book for programmers. Those of you who frequent this site will know that i do most of my application development in Visual Basic, but i have been wanting to take the leap to a new development enviroment for quite some time, but haven't been sure which one. The benefit of .NET is obvious, but only if you are developing for the Windows platform, C++ would be a lot better for crossplatform development. I have decided to work through the book, and after that to decide if ill move over to .NET, if i need to explore other venues or if i should just stay with VB6.
