I have been itching to get a Playstation 3 ever since its release, only being put off by its price. Doing some research today i noticed that the 1.8 firmware enables the PS3 to act as a uPnP client, which in turn means that it could play content from my media server, therefor giving me a nice HTPC box as well as a great gaming console. I am going downtown after work to day to verify that this actually works, but if it does then i dont think i can hold of a buy that much longer.
