At 12.05 yesterday my girlfriend called me at work to tell me that my main box at home had hanged and when she rebooted it it said that it couldn't find a disk to boot from! panic! damn, that's the box with all the core source etc, if another disk has crashed i wouldn't know what to do. I talked to my boss and got the rest of the day of. I rushed home to see what the problem was. Luckily there was nothing physically wrong with the disk, it was only the file system that had become corrupt, after a bit of fixing i got the disk back online and made the backups i should have done a long time ago. I am currently putting the finishing touches to my web server box (slackware, apache/mysql/php) and when it is done i will use it as a backup server, and backup the core stuff every night, which should prevent these kind of situations in the future.
There hasn't been any core progress since the last entry, but this weekend i have some free time (that's not all that common) so i hope to get some development done.
