Well, the new spam preventing idea didn't work all that well either, so now i am trying the Wordpress Akismet approach. There is a buggy e107 plugin that i have cleaned up, if it works ill see to it that either the original author or i release an updated and working version. This on the other hand would also work for track back spam, and if so then ill enable the track backs again.
